September 16-18th was a huge weekend for Recess; Philly’s favorite late-night destination. My fav playground was packed! Two anniversary parties, and a “supersized” Birthday celebration, packaged-up all “pretty-like” into four days of spectacular fun.

September 16-18th was a huge weekend for Recess; Philly’s favorite late-night destination. My fav playground was packed! Two anniversary parties, and a “super-sized” Birthday celebration, packaged-up all “pretty-like” into four days of spectacular fun.

It all started on Thursday night with the invite-only Anniversary event. (Think, “back to school” party for the “socially gifted” in Philly.)

It would be easier to tell you who wasn’t there, than to mention names. (Now that’s a party!) I was particularly happy to reconnect with friends I hadn’t seen all summer. (Ironic, but true — vacations, and junkets to the shore, can be disruptive to your social life.)

Friday, Recess was open as usual, but it was followed by the massive Anniversary party for the public on Saturday.

Then, as if its own birthday wasn’t “party enough”, Recess opened its doors for “Cool Kid” Jackiem “Jacky” Wright’s huge birthday bash on Sunday.

Then, here’s the cherry on the top of our hot-fudge Sunday — PhillyIn’s very-own’s Amber-Joi had the great, good-common-sense to be born on that very day. So, Recess was rockin’ — “Like a G6″.
