Clinique’s Non-Streak Bronzer

Staying groomed is not a chore, but rather an art form.  OK,well…I wouldn’t go that far. But as a man, there are tricks to the trade other than keeping the hedges trimmed that can keep you at the top of your game, and always in the cross hairs of the opposite sex.

From time to time, I will post a column of little tips that will keep you in on the “latest-and-greatest” of all that is Manscaping, from product reviews to style trends and events. As Philadelphia’s sense of style continues to change, I will help keep you up-to-date with products and ideas that will keep you looking “so fresh and so clean”.

Batting lead-off is one of the biggest well-kept secrets I have in the utility belt of manscaping. Yes, I am the Batman of male grooming. I have actually turned a few of my friends onto this product, who would never even contemplated the idea of such an “un-manly notion”.

With the ongoing concerns of skin cancer, wrinkles, and the dreaded Oompa Loompa Syndrome (which is spreading like cancer all across Philadelphia and much of Jersey, and I do mean MUCH), tanning has taken a back seat in the world of grooming for sure.  Many factors have contributed to the decline of the fake bake; the recent article by the FDA claiming tanning to be the equivalency of mustard gas, wrinkles and sunspots, MTV’s reality show Jersey Shore, and now the impending tax by President Obama on tanning.

So my metrosexual friends of Philadelphia and surrounding areas, I bring to you Clinique’s non-streak bronzer.  Now, I’m sure you’ve all heard the horror stories of self-tanners with the streaking and fake orange glow, but I can assure you this neither streaks nor will someone on the street confuse you with “The Situation”. It’s a translucent gel that applies for an all-over natural tone on any skin type, and the tube says “for men” so your cool.

You can find this product online at www.clinque.com or at any specialty department store such as Macy’s or Nordstrom.  It runs around $15 for a 2 oz. tube which lasts for a fairly long time.
