Hey guys! I just got home from Vegas!!! That’s right, I decided to take a much need break from the City of Brotherly Love. Funny thing is, when I got out there I couldn’t seem to avoid people from Philly. They were everywhere!
First things first, when I arrived to the Philadelphia International Airport (yes, everyone’s favorite airport … ahhhh not!) the security line was about 30 minutes long. >-/ SO I started doing what I normally do to kill time. Tweeting! “Hey guys! I’m going to Vegas. Anyone want to join me!?!” I didn’t REALLY expect a response, but to my surprise I got a reply from my good ol’ friend Daina. “AJ! I’m off til Monday. I’ll meet you tomorrow” … Holla!!! Daina and I have been friends since about fourth grade. We went to Springside School together, she’s like a sister to me. She arrived the next day as she tweeted she would, and was my partner in crime for the remainder of my stay. And BAM … that was my first dose of PhillyIn Vegas.
So what’s a Philly girl to do on a Thursday night in Vegas!?! I certainly had no idea, so I reached out to a friend who is a VIP host on the nightlife scene. He would definitely know! His response – “u meet @ tryst”! Well ok then! Daina, Broderick (my other Partner in Crime in Vegas) and I headed to Tryst. We arrived, skipped the line, skipped the cover and skipped the bar. (our first drinks were on Bob! Thanks!!!) See! You probably thought that A-List celebrities were the only ones to get theVIP treatment. But that’s not true… it’s all about who you know! … Wondering how on earth does PhillyIn’s Amber-Joi know a random VIP host in Vegas? Well he’s from Philly of course!! BOOM… my second dose of PhillyIn Vegas.
I walked about 6 steps (seriously 6 steps to the next table) and I see someone that I recognize. “Hey I know you! Aren’t you so and so’s agent from Philly?” Now, I didn’t know this guys name, but I did know that I had seen him before at various Philly hotspots with an assortment of Philly athletes. Being the friendly girl that I am, I decided to say hi! And I’m so thankful that I did. This gentleman invited me and my friends over to his table, introduced us to his friends and hung out with us for a good portion of the night. POW … my third dose of PhillyIn Vegas.
And this was only my first night. Philly was all over Vegas! I would tell you more about my trip, but frankly I think I have said too much already. We all know that “what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas!!!”. So I’ll leave it at that. Until next time…
