I really enjoy hanging out at The Piazza. It kind of reminds me of my college’s DMZ, only better. I love the mix of electic people, food, art, music, and fashion in the surrounding stores. We stumbled onto a Farmer’s Market that day that runs 10am till 2pm on Saturdays. I loved this because I have a particular interest in supporting local farms (you should too!). The plaza played host to local farmers and their collection of all-natural food; cheese, salsa, tea, baked goods, etc. Plus, I’ll take any excuse to hang around outside and people watch, or enjoy a Phillies game (outside of the ballpark) on the huge screen outside. Springtime at The Piazza is calling my name!

Ahh, The Piazza… my second home. Oh the memories. And if you haven’t heard of Club Duber yet, you soon will. It is the premiere late, late-night spot in Philadelphia.

I really enjoyed the farmers market. This was one of the highlights of my day. They had fresh fruit, homemade jams, breads, cobblers, casseroles and cheeses and many other trinkets and tidbits. I truly appreciated the authenticity of everything and the fact that it was set outdoors gave it a particularly fresh feel. I would have liked to see even more vendors with a little more variety. I’m sure that as the weather gets better, the Farmers Market will get even more interesting.

Two of my best friends live in the Piazza and their place is typically our starting point before a night out in Philly. People gather in the courtyard to watch sports on the big screen or attend events such as farmers markets, cook off’s, parties, etc. In the summer there are a lot more events. The Piazza seems to be filled with a good group of young professionals and has several nice bars, restaurants and shops.
