Ok so I’ll fess up, I didn’t buy any beer. I was still really full from breakfast, so I took a poll in my brain, only 3% voted for beer, while the other 97% said try some yummy sweets at Liberties Walk instead. I did perform a little taste test of my fellow cast members beers though and was quite delighted. Amber’s Caribbean beer was pretty good, very sweet and after a few sips even I had had enough. Looking forward to coming back and trying some interesting new beers. And I would totally love to come to a beer class, that sounds fun!

Most innovative idea in the city! This place offers any beer you could possibly think of AND you can mix and match… genius. If you happen to find yourself in Northern Liberties on the weekend poking around at all of the little shops, boutiques, and galleries, the Foodery is a nice way to break up the day by sitting down to enjoy a brew or two.

When I do indulge in beer (which isn’t often because I like wine) I generally stick to the basics, Michelob Ultra, Miller Lite or Bud Light. But I was in THE FOODERY and I couldn’t just go with the same old generic brands! The amount of choice was overwhelming and I’m not very familiar with a lot of beer brands, so I was really lost. But then I found a Caribbean brand, SHANDY CARIB. Ooo! It was very good. If I ever want to try another “out of the box” beer, I’ll definitely be back! The Foodery is great place to stop in for a casual drink and according to Chris the OMG sandwich is superb.

This is one of my favorite places in Northern Liberties. I used to live a block away from The Foodery and would stop in frequently for their amazing sandwiches and to try new beer. Caution: With such a wide selection of fine beers it can be a bit overwhelming. Some of my personal favorites range from the local beers such as Yards and Philadelphia Brewing Company, to others such as Troegs, Victory, and more. The staff is very knowledgeable and can make a few suggestions if you want to experiment and try a new beer. The sandwiches are really good, don’t stop by if you are in a hurry sometimes it can take a little while, but they are definitely worth the wait. I really enjoy “The Bender” – if you like roast beef, cheese and green peppers you are going to love this sandwich. The Foodery also has cans and six pack pounders of standard domestic brands such as Rolling Rock, Coors, etc. but it feels like a waste buying the standards in a place that sells over 900 beers.
