A Little Bit About Architectural Antiques Exchange //

When walking past the front door we assumed we would enter a small antique shop. Boy were we wrong! When we got inside, we found a warehouse. What a fake out! The Architectural Antiques Exchange boasts a large selection of Architectural Antiques dating from the late 1700’s through the 1930’s, with the majority from the Victorian Period. The website says that the owners actually travel to Europe on a regular basis searching for treasures for your home, restaurant, or bar.

Wow this place is huge! I never would have guessed from the outside. I’m not into antiquing, but I had fun roaming the isles of this almost endless building of everything from large bar fixtures to tiny statues.  The shopkeepers here were particularly great, very talkative, and had tons of info and insight for us. If I were decorating a new home I’d stop in to look for a treasure, but also to chat.

A gypsy camp right here in Philadelphia. If I liked antiques, I would frequent this shop I’m sure.

This antique shop is a treasure full of treasures! It’s huge, I literally got lost in this place. There is something for everyone. I was really impressed with the inventory. When I find my prince charming I will stop by the Architectural Antique Exchange to decorate our castle.

Upon entering the Architectural Antique Exchange I was surprised by how big the inside of the store was. As we walked around, it was interesting to see so many cool and unique antiques. The prices were a bit out of my range, but they definitely have some unique stuff that would be hard to find anywhere else. What caught my eye were the complete bars (for serving drinks) that looked like they were once in a restaurant, hotel or some other type of commercial building. If you like antiques you should definitely stop by this place and check out what they have.
