Northern Liberties may be the fastest evolving neighborhood in Philadelphia right now. So why not come here first? Up until recently this area was mostly vacant space, but now it’s growing into a unique and vibrant community. Northern Liberties, or “No Libs” for short, has a culture all its own. The lifestyle is focused on music, art, individuality, and the environment (…and bike riding, does that fall under environment?). There also happens to be a strong entrepreneurial community here.
The Piazza and Liberties Walk are the main attractions, but don’t be fooled, there’s more fun tucked away between Girard Ave. and Spring Garden St. We spent 2 days attempting to “live” the No Libs lifestyle, and we still couldn’t see everything. So much to do, so little time…but we hope you enjoy our snapshot of this creative community.

Hey, I love that you’ve covered my neighborhood, Northern Liberties. However, there is a lovely Studio that just opened here called Sculpere. It’s located at 2nd and Poplar. Sculpere is a ballet based workout braided with yoga technique. This concentrated regime unites the rigorous physicality of classical ballet training with the enlightening practice of yoga. Taking the core essence from each of these contrasting schools, Sculpere is a workout that achieves balanced results in both body and mind.
