A Red Carpet Event to Benefit Soccer Sisters United.
Philadelphia- October 10, 2011, Join Miss Pennsylvania USA 2011 and a host of Philadelphia celebrities for a red carpet evening to benefit Soccer Sisters United (SSU) and Anderson Monarch. The event, hosted by Philadelphia philanthropists Hacina Saadi and Lindsay Furman, will be held at Whisper nightlife venue and is expected to draw Philadelphia’s famous, trendsetters and influencers alike.
The evening kicks off at 6:00 p.m. with red carpet interviews by Miss PA 2010, Amber Joi Watkins with Philadelphia Union’s Freddy Adu; Philadelphia Eagles’ Jeremy Maclin, Brent Celek, and Todd Herman; celebrity blogger Arthur Kade; as well as television personalities from 6ABC and Fox29. Special guest, the Honorable Mayor Michael Nutter will also be in attendance to support SSU.
Cocktails provided by Whisper and hors d’oeuvres courtesy of Sampan add to the excitement of the evening, which will also feature music by DJ’s Eddie Tully and KY, live performances, and a silent auction. Bid on one-of-a-kind items including Philadelphia Eagles autographed items, a Ryan Howard signed baseball, a Philadelphia Flyers Chris Pronger signed jersey, an exclusive NFL Film Tour and swag bag, and much more.
The musical styling of Philadelphia’s own recording artist Mark Gaines rounds out the night as he performs songs from his upcoming album “Mark My Words” and his first album “Loves Music”. Proceeds from the auction, cocktail purchases and donations go to support inner-city youth.
SSU of Philadelphia is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to providing high-level soccer training, competition, and academic support for underprivileged girls in the Philadelphia area.
